Assignment
Candyking International Ltd. Logo, packaging design,
in-store communication, in-store display, guidelines.
Nordic region, UK, 2005.
Challenge
To strengthen the Candyking brand and make it more
of a presence in-store with the help of a new corporate identity for all communication units. The previous identity was unclear, and looked old-fashioned and
out-dated. The new corporate identity was required to appeal to adults and chil-dren, and to be simple, unique and strong
enough to establish the brand as a category leader in an otherwise “unbranded” sector. Candyking was also looking to launch in an international market.
Solution
BVD created the “Candyking’s kingdom”, from which all communication would emanate. The king himself was given a more contemporary appearance and a friendlier personality. The colours communicate joy and variety.
Results
Launched in autumn 2006, the new identity has been extremely well received everywhere, and has strengt-hened Candyking’s position in the Pick & Mix market.
