Assignment
The Advertising Association of Sweden, the Swedish Society of Crafts and Design, the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation.
Graphic identity, naming, trophy, catalogue, manual, Swedish Design Award.
Sweden, 2006.
Challenge
With a minimal budget, to create a clear, timeless and strong graphic identity that would satisfy a highly design-conscious target group, while at the same time feeling attractive and accessible to everyone.
Solution
To be consistent and establish the new symbol as the sender. The S is multidimensional and has a feeling of always being in motion. It was animated and printed using several different techniques on different materials.
Results
Christian Kugelberg, then business developer at the Advertising Association of Sweden: “The graphic identity for the Swedish Design Award really commu-
nicated the value of the awards in a successful way. The consistent use of the S and the black & white ensured that the communication made an extremely strong impact, creating a major level of recognition in the very first year of the awards.”
